The Story of Hovah Digital Sound

Hovah Digital Sound was born out of a simple but powerful belief — that sound is not just what we hear, but what we feel. Founded by award-winning sound designer Minwon Metong, the company emerged from years of passion, grit, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling through audio.

What began as a desire to provide world-class audio solutions for Africa’s entertainment industry has grown into one of Nollywood’s most trusted names in post-production sound. From small indie teams to large studio productions, we’ve helped filmmakers bring stories to life with emotion, texture, and sonic clarity.

Meet Our Founder

Minwon Metong – Sound Designer, Filmmaker & Producer

Minwon Metong is a multiple award-winning filmmaker, content producer, and Dolby-certified sound designer. He leads Hovah Digital Sound, a premier audio solutions company serving Nollywood and Africa’s film industry for over half a decade, and is also the Operations Lead at Unorthodox Clan Studios.

His credits include acclaimed works such as The Man Died (Femi Odugbemi), Grind (Amazon Prime), Tokunbo (Ramsey Nouah), Leaked (AMVCA Winner), Dreams, Big Love, and Irora Iya. His soundscapes have been heard in globally recognized documentaries, commercials, and feature films.

As a passionate educator, Minwon has trained over 200 professionals and taught sound design at top institutions including the Multichoice Talent Factory, Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Academy, and more.
